Richard Egenti was born in Lagos Nigeria on the 28th of
January
He had his
primary education in mayflower Ikenne in
Ogun
state of
Nigeria
and his high
school education was in the old Oyo state of
Nigeria While he had
his college education at the University of Lagos (Akoka) in
Yaba where he studied physics. He served his NYSC in
Maiduguri north -eastern part of Nigeria.
He later represented Nigeria
at the 3rd world phenomenological conference at the
university of Jagiellonia in the city of Cracow, Poland in
1999.
He established Rigenti
Investment Company in 1999 as an international consultancy
firm. In 2000 he founded
Rigenti Travels & Tours ltd as his interest in the
aviation industry grew
and entered into international talks with polish airline on
the possibility of floating an international airline in
Nigeria.
In 2001 he was co-opted as an
executive member of the Nigerian -Polish Chambers of
Commerce and accompanied
president
Olusegun Obasanjo the then president of the
federal republic of Nigeria to Poland on establishing a
bilateral trade agreement between
Poland
and Nigeria.
In 2003 he was elected the
youngest national-president of the Nigerian-Polish business
council and the same year was co-opted into the
Nigerian-European chambers of commerce. He attended numerous
international conferences and visited more
than eighty cities all over the world.
He lured many international
investors to Nigeria particularly to Anambra state; among
which was the establishment of the polish industrial estate;
an undeveloped expanse of land in Uli Anambra state.
In 2005 he founded the Rigenti
foundation which has given numerous international
scholarships to poor and under-privilege of his community in
Nigeria.
In 2007 he founded Rigenti
motors a Wisconsin based company in USA due to his passion
for cars and trucks. This company exports cars to Europe and
Africa.
He also founded a grass root
political action group named
anambramustgrow.org to reclaim and correct
the ills of his
native land
Anambra state of Nigeria by stimulating and encouraging the
youths and professionals living in diaspora on the way to
nation building.
anambramustgrow.org is a non-profit grass root
political action group specially designed for artisans and
professionals alike living in diaspora. The purpose of this
group is to build the leaders of tomorrow.
He is presently working on
some community based projects targeted in developing Africa.
